Lambuso
Lambuso (EL 1307) is TPJ's second joint venture and is situated on New Ireland on a northeast-trending major structure that extends towards Simberi. The project area comprises limestones overlying an intrusive complex and volcanics. Several areas with minor porphyry mineralisation and epithermal-style veining have been identified in previous exploration. An aeromagnetic survey flown in 1982 by Esso located a number of strong targets beneath the limestone which recent interpretation suggests could represent skarn gold/porphyry targets.
Three of the best anomalies 7, 8 and 9 have been selected for drilling. The first hole LAM-001 was started on 27 th July and is currently underway at 100 meters in massive limestone.
